I’m in my bedroom of the Manassas house i grew up in. The room doesn’t have any furniture and i’m sitting on the bare tile inside the closed door. I can hear a tour guide outside the door in the hall giving a tour. Neil Peart is playing drums in my open closet. I’m excited because i think that if Neil is here, maybe Geddy and Alex are too. After the tour guide takes the group into the room at the end of the hall (Audree’s room), i duck out of my room to go to work. I arrive at ‘work’ and the workstations were gone. All of my team is sitting on the ground of a terraced hill waiting for their workstations to be reassembled. I’m pissed because i think that the manager should have called us to tell us not to come in since there’s nothing we can do. I’m also annoyed because my butt is going to get damp sitting on the bare ground. I go over to the podium to complain to the manager’s assistant about not being able to work and to tell her i’m leaving. As i’m storming out of the office to go back home and listen to Neil some more, i see the cleaning crew come in with crates that contain our workstations. I go back ‘in’ to wait for them to get us set up again. While they’re working on that, my team and i became the tour group and we’re riding on a bus though some countryside. It’s very hilly on either side of the road and i can see that all of the hills are criss-crossed with tire tracks. I wonder why and start to ask the tour guide what the person who made the tracks might’ve been looking for but just then we arrive at our destination. I recognize it as the back side of a place i’ve been to in dreams before. A place with strange rock formations sort of like Bryce Canyon but the formations aren’t much taller than a person. There are hundreds of them, just like i remember from last time i dreamed there. I know that if we follow the path to the other end we’ll be near Rockaway Beach (Pacifica) and the big waterfall. Cue Strawberry Fields.
Two episodes where sitting on the bare ground is key. Being grounded seems too simple. Rush. ? I enjoy that dream place with the rock formations. Normally when i go there it's through the main entrance at the front of the place. It's high up on a plateau but from the back side we're already at the elevated level. High ground? Group being guided?
